Sasha Kulak is a director born in Vitebsk, Belarus. Her films have taken her to communities and stories of isolation across the world, whether among the Mexican Mennonites (Salamanca, 2015, 41’), an abandoned mining town in the USA (Quicksilver Chronicles, 2019, 75’), or the Belarusian protests of 2020 (Mara, 2022, 61’). Her latest feature film A Hawk as Big as a Horse (77’), follows a character who seeks refuge in ornithology and Twin Peaks while crafting their own version of the world, was made in collaboration with Arte La Lucarne, won a special mention at Dok Leipzig in 2022.

Lisa Sorgini is an Italian-Australian artist. Born in Adelaide, Australia she now resides in the Northern Rivers, NSW (Bundjalung Country).
Her practice engages with the complexities of the human condition.

Growing up in a fractured family environment in the alternative ‘Rainbow Region’ of Northern NSW she is acutely aware of the actuality and coexistence of deep love and brutality in human relationships.

Working across photography Lisa investigates the dominating societal perceptions and constructs that are often vastly at odds with the lived experience and considers the representation of mothers, children and familial spaces.
